About Robyn

I believe iBehind These Hands-80n massage. I believe that this is what God has called me to do. I’ve been blessed to share this gift for 9 years, along the way, adding Holy Yoga, and Pray-Key, (energy-work).  My passion is to facilitate positive change and healing through these modalities. I am a rare Denver native!  I spent five years in Fort Collins, CO attending Colorado State University and The Healing Arts Institute where I obtained my Bachelors in Social Work and my Massage License.  In April of 2013, I spent 5 weeks in Costa Rica going through my own healing journey and personal growth, while earning the title of a “Yoga Instructor”.  These titles are very nice on paper, but I find that the more I experience my own practice within these pillars, that God uses me as a vessel to guide and facilitate others.

Theses accomplishments have led me down a path toward my dream of opening a healing center. Rest assured, despite my ambitious goal of opening a healing center, the primary focus will remain on providing the absolute highest quality treatment for each and every guest. We have a dream team of Massage Therapists and Instructors that make this Healing Center a well oiled machine.

After taking the opportunity to teach yoga here for about a year, I observed a yearning/calling from deep within to further my knowledge of Yoga.  God made it very clear that He wants me to bridge gaps between the views of Yoga and Christ. I am humbled and honored to be His servant.  Now as a Holy Yoga instructor, God is allowing our healing center as a place to continue building this incredible healing community where people can learn to love Him, be loved by Him, and share that love with others.

I am immensely grateful for my parents and family whose unconditional support has helped me get to where I am today; they are my board of directors, my rock.  My friends and network are awesome and I want to thank them for being with me every step of the way; mind, body, and soul!  God is who I give all the Glory!

Thank you for visiting Behind These Hands Healing Center, you are appreciated and loved!

About Erin

I would love to get to know you, but first, here is a little bit about me

I was born and raised in Bay Village, Ohio; a small suburb of Cleveland nestled on the edge of Lake Erie.  I spent two years studying public communications at Ashland University and one year at the National Institute of Massage Therapy, but did not find what I was looking for at either institution.  My search for happiness led me to Colorado in 2006 because I wanted to surround myself with sunshine, mountains and great people!  I met my husband within the first few months of my move and we were married in 2009 in beautiful Costa Rica.  We reside in the foothills of Golden with our 17 month old daughter, Ella, and our 4 dogs; or as we like to think of them, our furry babies.  In our free time, we love to run, hike and camp with Ella and our dogs and spend lots of time in the kitchen cooking together. I also enjoy yoga and walking with my family along Clear Creek.

I pursued my passion for healing and science by attending the Denver School of Massage Therapy and have been a licensed massage therapist since 2008.  As a massage therapist, I care for my clients by listening to their needs and concerns and offering them support and guidance.  I establish trust by creating a safe and comfortable space which leads to open and honest communications.  I will help you to become aware of the structure and function of your body and teach you how to take preventative measures by providing you with self-care exercises in order to do so.  I put my heart and soul into every massage that I give because every client is special and deserves to be treated as such.  In order to truly make a difference, I find that it is essential to tailor every massage to meet the unique needs of each client.   My specialties include deep tissue massage, structural bodywork, injury massage, sports massage, trigger point therapy and pre-natal massage.

I graduated summa cum laude in 2014 from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition.  My passion for nutrition began to grow after discovering that my own health issues were a result of undiagnosed food sensitivities.  After healing myself through dietary modifications, I realized my desire to learn more about the power of food and its ability to nourish and balance our bodies.  I chose to pursue a career in nutrition in order to teach others how to take preventative measures so that they may lead healthy, chronic disease-free lives.  I do this through my role as an educator by equipping you with the knowledge and tools necessary to live healthfully.  As a nutrition counselor, I treat each client with the same individualized care as I do my massage clients.  I offer individual and family nutrition counseling sessions and will soon offer small group nutrition classes that will cover topics such as weight management, feeding “picky” eaters, the anti-inflammatory diet, healing leaky gut, and elimination diets to uncover hidden food sensitivities.

I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your journey to health!

Nourish Yourself,

Erin Young, BS, LMT

About Jessica

Hello! I’m Jessica Bart and I absolutely love being a part of Behind These Hands Healing Center! I am a licensed massage practitioner and certified Essentrics instructor. My goal for all of my clients is to help each of them live their very best lives pain free and full of energy! I have been with Robyn since January 2014 and cannot imagine my life without her! We share our passion of helping people and we are truly focused on healing through massage and movement.

First, a little bit about me. I grew up in Southern Colorado and moved to the Denver area in 1997. I met my wonderful husband in 2001 and have been married since 2003. I have 2 amazing, energetic, and super smart boys, of course I’m a little biased because they belong to me! To say that my kiddos keep me busy would be an understatement. Their schedules include school, studying, time with friends, and baseball. We love to get out as a family to hike, ride our bikes, or run. Speaking of running, I love to run and I am always down for miles anytime! I make running and fitness a part of my everyday routine. I love training for specific goals and completed my first marathon in May 2017.

My massage and fitness career began in 2003 when I started massage school at Heritage College. I completed a 14 month massage program graduating in 2004 with an Associate’s degree in Massage Therapy and Occupational Sciences. I worked for a few years in an Athletic Club and decided to take a bit of a hiatus when my second child was born. My intention was always to return to massage once my kiddos were a bit older. I was a stay at home mom until my youngest was in first grade. I feel so very fortunate to have had that time with my boys.

Fast forward to the present time and I am now doing what I love with no intentions of slowing down. I see my clients very regularly and I teach a fitness class called Essentrics. I found Essentrics years ago and quickly became hooked when I discovered how amazingly therapeutic the workout can be. In Essentrics we work to lengthen and strengthen every muscle in the body. We increase flexibility and range of motion as these are crucial components to living our best lives.

I would love to share massage and Essentrics with you in our amazing healing center!

About Julie

I am a Colorado native who had the privilege of coming to know Christ at a very young age. As a child, I enjoyed gymnastics, and coached developmental gymnastics for 11 years until the Lord closed that door in exchange for the opportunity to teach barre at the studio where I had attended yoga and barre classes for the past two years. While the initial focus of my yoga practice was strictly physical in nature, I often found myself praising the Lord after classes as I drove home. (Did I just admit to singing in the car?!) As I continued to practice, I also began to make connections between postures and biblical truths, While holding a pose, a scripture or line from a song would often come to mind. In these moments, the words seemed to resonate more profoundly within me than they did when I heard them in other settings. The connection of mind, body and spirit was powerful! It was then that I thought, “surely I am not the only one who has made these connections,” and after a quick Google search for “Christian yoga”, I discovered Holy Yoga.
I began to toy with the notion of becoming an instructor, but first decided to “like” their Facebook page and try to find a class I could try out. “No need to be too hasty,” I thought, but the Lord had other plans. After showering me with Romans 12:1-2, five times in three days through sermons both at church and on the radio, a Holy Yoga Facebook post, my devotionals, and the first Holy Yoga class I’d ever attended, I heard the Lord’s call loud and clear! I began my Holy Yoga training in 2014 and received my certification in June. It has transformed my worship and my connection with my Savior, and I am grateful for the chance to share Holy Yoga with others as they seek to improve their health and “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30
About My Practice
I love flow classes, but also enjoy restorative, hot, and even yoga with weights. My favorite postures are inversions, arm balances, and anything that offers a nice deep stretch. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
