Reiki (Energy/Prayer Work)

What is Reiki?

The term Reiki comes from the Japanese words “rei,” which translates into ‘universal,’ and “ki,” which means, ‘vital life force energy that flows through all’.  Reiki taps into the divine, asking God for the highest good, whatever that may be; as we detach ourselves from any healing agenda of our own. These sessions can be done hands-on, on an aura level, and even long distance,

( just like prayer)! Many people feel extremely relaxed during their session, and some may feel sensations such as tingling, pulsing, heat/cooling and more! It’s important to remember to be open to YOUR own experience in that moment.  Having expectations is like putting a lid on possibilities.

Reiki Share

For those of you who haven’t attended a Reiki Share yet…it’s a time when Reiki practitioners get together to give and receive Reiki.  We use the massage tables and have 3-4 people working on one person at a time usually for about 15-20 minutes and then we switch.  We also informally chat for a few minutes at the beginning and at the conclusion. The Reiki Shares in the past have been held at Behind These Hands Healing Center and hosted by Lisa Guyman. She has decided to do her Shares in conjunction with her classes. We love having them here and want to continue our monthly Reiki Shares.  They will be posted on Facebook, emailed, and on the site here under Class Schedule.
